Site Skills Training in conjunction with Evo Access is offering IRATA's Rope Access Level 2 Training. This course is a lead technicians course and specifies the outcomes required to carry out Rope Access work as an IRATA Level 2 under the IRATA training and certification scheme. Candidates will be trained in all aspects of rope access work including abseiling, traversing, complex rigging and complex vertical rescues.
A level 2 rope access technician shall be capable of rigging working ropes, undertaking rescues and performing rope access tasks (under the supervision of an IRATA level 3 rope access technician). He/she should have some knowledge of legislation, safety requirements and quality assurance procedures relating to rope access.

Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500, with the balance to be paid upon commencement of the course.

IRATA Rope Access Training requires a Unique Student Identifier (USI) , you can still complete the training without a USI, though Site Skills Training is unable to provide you with your completion certificate until you provided us with your USI. To apply for a free USI visit the USI website or contact our facility.
This course is compatible with most skilled and non-skilled trades i.e riggers, boilermakers, fitters, NDT, painter/blasters, scaffolders.
IRATA Level 2 training is carried out at our IRATA approved specialised training facilities by Site Skills Training in conjunction with Evo Access. Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients providing there are suitable structures and industry training facilities. Courses may be extended for an extra day training (by prior arrangement) to ensure the best possible outcome for trainees.
Candidates must have 12 months experience and over 1000 hours verified in their logbook as an IRATA Level 1.
An IRATA issued photographic licence is issued to people who are assessed as being competent. The certification is valid for 3 years from date of assessment. IRATA tickets are recognised world-wide.
There is no recognition of prior learning for this unit

Rope Access Technicians are used across a range of industries including building and construction, civil and resource industries
Once 1000 rope hours have been recorded and a minimum of 12 months experience has been achieved as a Level 2, candidates are eligible to sit an IRATA level 3 Technician Course.
