Course Overview

The Progressing Cavity Pumping System (PCP) applications cover very low downhole pressure wells, solids handling and viscous oils. PCP increases reliability of the whole system with new elastomers development, better gas separation and optimization using surface controller.

Progressive Cavity Pumps (PCP) – Maintenance and Trouble Shooting Training provides the participant an opportunity to acquire a solid knowledge of PCP and its applications. It covers detailed description and function of each component of PCP system. Basis of reservoir inflow performance, artificial lift systems comparison, standard and special applications, system components, design, diagnosis, troubleshooting and optimization are described and discussed.

Course Objectives

By the end of Progressive Cavity Pumps (PCP) – Maintenance and Trouble Shooting training, participants will be able to:

  • Provide theoretical and practical knowledge of the advantages and limitations of the progressive cavity
  • Develop the required skills to design, optimise and diagnose wells producing with this artificial lift method
