Course Overview

At Site Skills Training we deliver the most comprehensive range of welding courses in Brisbane. We cater for all levels of skills, from the hobbyist looking to improve their ability - through to seasoned professionals looking to complete a welding course to become certified to code (AS/1554, ASME 9, 6G Pressure Pipe, 3 G Structural Plate).

Our Brisbane facility has a large number of welding bays to suit any welding course group size, with the latest industry equipment including; basic MMAW (stick) welding through to advanced dual head STT and 1000A SAW, with the ability to weld and fabricate all materials including;

  • Carbon steel (plate and pipe)
  • Stainless steel
  • Duplex and super duplex pipe
  • Titanium: all grades CuN
  • Uncovered aluminium

Welding bays and equipment are available for private or corporate hire.

ASME 9 Welding Course

One of the most popular welding courses is The ASME 9 Welding Course Brisbane , this is an all in one qualification to improve your skills as a handy man or set up your career for internal company weld tests. This course provides training to a global standard, being recognised throughout Australia and internationally. The ASME 9 course provides hands on training with a strong focus on practical training over theory, to ensure you the skills and ability you need.

The ASME boiler and pressure vessel code embraces its own QA system which revolves around satisfying the rules of the code. This demonstrates that an accredited fabricator has some degree of competence permitting them to perform a large amount of their own inspection without the involvement of an Independent Inspection Body, which would be required by other standards for similar inspections.

The advantage of ASME 9 is that it’s very workable and very comprehensive, if you have a question you will almost certainly find an answer somewhere in the code.
