Chainsaw Training Darwin incorporates courses available in Darwin which give participants the necessary skills and knowledge to operate, maintain and safely perform tasks that require the use of chainsaws and mechanical type saws.

Chainsaw Trim and Cut Trees Training

This course describes the outcomes required to trim and cross cut felled trees with a chainsaw and covers maintenance of equipment and general workplace legislative and regulatory requirements. Students will learn how to trim and cut felled trees with a chainsaw in a variety of work settings. The skills and knowledge required for competent workplace performance are to be used within the scope of the person's job and authority.

Maintain Chainsaws Training

FPICOT2237 Maintain chainsaws

This unit describes the outcomes required to carry out maintenance of hand-held chainsaws. It relates to the maintenance and servicing requirements of chainsaw powerheads and cutting attachments; chain sharpening, clean-up, storage procedures and recording requirements. General legislative, regulatory and workplace requirements apply to this unit; however there are no specific licensing or certification requirements at the time of publication.
