Chainsaw Fall Trees (Intermediate) describes the outcomes required to assess, plan and safely carry out intermediate manual tree falling operations. This course is intended for use in situations where the production of timber is not the primary focus of the activity.

This unit describes the outcomes required to carry out maintenance of hand-held chainsaws. It relates to the maintenance and servicing requirements of chainsaw powerheads and cutting attachments; chain sharpening, clean-up, storage procedures and recording requirements. General legislative, regulatory and workplace requirements apply to this unit; however there are no specific licensing or certification requirements at the time of publication.

Operate a Pole Saw describes the outcomes required to trim high branches reachable with a mechanical pole saw and to promote tree growth by trimming excess branches. The unit includes equipment maintenance.
