Chainsaw Training Onsite


Site Skills Training delivers high-quality courses in all areas of Onsite Chainsaw Training. Training & Assessment can be scheduled and conducted onsite at the premises of the industry clients.

Chainsaw Training Onsite incorporates courses which give participants the necessary skills and knowledge to operate, maintain and safely perform tasks that require the use of chainsaws and mechanical type saws.

Chainsaw Fall Trees (Intermediate) Training

Chainsaw Fall Trees (Intermediate) describes the outcomes required to assess, plan and safely carry out intermediate manual tree falling operations. This course is intended for use in situations where the production of timber is not the primary focus of the activity.

  • Regulations and safe work procedures
  • Selecting appropriate tools for the task
  • Environmental protection measures
  • Legislative requirements
  • Assessing trees falling characteristics and planning fall
  • Identification of structural defects in trees
  • Administering a sequence of cuts in accordance with planning
  • Preparing and maintaining falling equipment

Chainsaw Trim and Cut Trees Training

Chainsaw Trim and Cut delivers the outcomes required to trim and cross cut felled trees with a chainsaw and covers maintenance of equipment and general workplace legislative and regulatory requirements. Students will learn how to trim and cut felled trees with a chainsaw in a variety of work settings. The skills and knowledge required for competent workplace performance are to be used within the scope of the person's job and authority.

  • Safe chainsaw operation and cutting techniques
  • Identifying and assessing defects and stresses within chosen trees
