Advanced Welding (GTAW, GMAW, MMAW, FLAW)
Designed for workers currently in working or seeking progressive employment opportunities in the welding industry, this course will enhance your skills in welding and knowledge of materials and building code requirements, while undergoing GTAW, GMAW, MMAW, FLAW (Advanced Welding) Training. You can only enrol into one welding process at a time – you can choose from; Stick, MIG, TIG, or Flux-cored arc welding. You will learn to weld in a horizontal, vertical up and the overhead position, whilst adhering to Australia Standards 1554.1 at the structural purpose level.
You will receive a Statement of Attainment upon completion of this course. If you wish to undertake the full qualification, you will receive recognition of units completed.

AutoCAD Course
This course includes an introduction to the CAD and CAD tools (AutoDesk & AutoCAD), understanding basic drawing standards and basic 3D modelling.
Students will build up a solid understanding & knowledge of CAD and do various different activities throughout. Some topics include:

- Hatch patterns, text & dimension tool
- Understanding of layers
- 2D blocks
- Basic 3D modelling
- 3D printing

Intermediate Welding (GTAW, GMAW, MMAW, FLAW)

Introduction to TIG Welding
This course is recommended for beginners/hobbyists with no welding experience who do not require a qualification and are interested in learning more about TIG Welding.
Introduction to welding is a non-accredited course that provides students with the opportunity to gain some practical skills in the TIG processes. The course is high in practical component with basic safety and theory included.
Students who complete this course who wish to further their welding experience and gain formal qualifications should enrol in the basic welding course at the completion of this unit.

Basic Welding (GTAW, GMAW, MMAW)
Get skilled for light or heavy metal fabrication in the welding industry and gain working knowledge in GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding), GMAW (gas metal arc welding) & MMAW (manual metal arc welding). Through this welding course you will gain the theoretical knowledge to safely apply welding practices by identifying the risks associated with welding and implementing the correct hazard reduction practices. You will also learn to identify material properties, and develop the ability to select the correct welding process to achieve a safe and effective weld.
This entry level welding course is designed for people who are seeking to enter the welding industry, or who are currently working in the industry. It will provide you with basic practical and theoretical skills to make simple welds in flat or downhand position, and covers Stick, MIG and TIG welding processes. You will receive a Statement of Attainment upon completion of this welding course. If you wish to undertake the full qualification (MEM40105 - Certificate IV in Engineering), you will receive recognition of units completed.
