It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operation of front end loaders including mixing materials, stripping/spreading topsoil and materials, loading, cutting/boxing, backfilling; attaching, securing, lifting, carrying and placing materials; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; relocating the front end loader; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and cleaning up.

Skid Steer Training

Skid Steer (Bobcat) Operations covers conducting skid steer loader operations in the civil construction industry. It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operation of skid steer loader including stripping/ spreading topsoil and materials, lifting, loading vehicles, excavations, mixing materials ; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; relocating the skid steer loaders; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and cleaning up.

It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; operation including compacting materials to pattern and density, sealing and finishing, relocating the machine; and carrying out operator maintenance and clean up.

Skid Steer Loader Training

This unit covers conducting skid steer loader operations in the civil construction industry. It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operation of skid steer loader including stripping/ spreading topsoil and materials, lifting, loading vehicles, excavations, mixing materials ; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; relocating the skid steer loaders; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and cleaning up.

This unit covers conducting dozer operations in the civil construction industry. It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operation of a dozer including stripping/spreading topsoil and materials, cut and fill, battering, stockpiling, bulk excavation, cutting drains, benching and backfilling; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; relocating the machine; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and cleaning up.

This unit covers the conduct excavator operations in the civil construction industry. It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operation of an excavator including loading, bulk excavation, backfilling, trench excavation, stockpiling, battering and benching ; lifting, carrying and placing materials; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; relocating the machine; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and cleaning up.

This course aims to give participants hands on practical skills and knowledge in the safe and efficient operation of a counter-balance forklift. Participants will gain an understanding of applicable legislations:

• Forklift types and uses
• Load charts
• Load types and characteristics
• Lifting attachment types and uses
• Be able to plan work and manage risks
• Pre and post start checks
• Safe driving techniques
• Forklift stability
• Shift and manoeuvre a variety of loads
• Shutdown procedures and associated paperwork.

By completing this training and assessment you will be awarded the High Risk Licence class LF.

Order Picking Forklift Training aims to give participants hands on practical skills and knowledge in the safe and efficient operation of a order picking forklift. Participants will gain an understanding of applicable legislations:

• Compliance with OH&S licensing legislation.
• Effectively communicate and work safely with others in the work area.
• Identify hazards associated with the operation of the order picking forklift truck and put in place effective hazard prevention/controls for those hazards.
• Effectively conduct pre-start, post-start operational checks and shut down checks of the order picking forklift truck.
• Effectively operate the forklift, pick and place loads safely at various heights, including driving and manoeuvring and placing loads in a safe manner.

This unit covers roller operations in the civil construction industry. It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; operation including compacting materials to pattern and density, sealing and finishing, relocating the machine; and carrying out operator maintenance and clean up.

This course is aimed at providing the necessary skills and knowledge to operate a telescopic materials handler (telehandler) safely and efficiently. The course is a mixture of in class theory, practical demonstration and assessment covering all aspect of operation including legislation; hazards and risk control; planning; pre-use inspections; load charts; load characteristics; attachments; safe operation; transport; reporting procedures; shut down and post operation checks.
