Common Industry Competencies (CIC) Standard

Safer Together and the Queensland Natural Gas E&P Industry has recently implemented the Common Industry Competencies (CIC) Standard. This standard will enhance the safety competency of all personnel in the industry whilst driving consistency and cost efficiency to recognise standards of competency for industry workers.

Starting 1 July, 2017, new starters and existing workers within the Queensland Natural Gas E&P Industry must ensure they hold current competencies in the below 6 courses. These courses will now need to be regularly renewed during the periods stated below.

This package course contains the below 6 units of competency. These courses may not run consecutively.

Well Production Control and Management

Well Production Control and Management provides an overview of control and data management in wells, focusing on upstream. The need to deliver good data management is increasingly being seen as providing competitive advantage across the oil and gas industry, since wise business decisions depend on sound data and information.

Well Production Control and Management participants have an understanding of the core wells data types, their use in the business, and data management issues and challenges facing companies.

Learners will have the knowledge and tools necessary to participate in developing a structured control and data management framework, which will deal with these issues in a practical and effective manner to ensure business efficiency and value is realized.

Welding Certification (Theory & Practical)
