Course Overview

This Fire Training course is designed to help students identify and assess the risks of the fire and determine an appropriate first response to fire incidents. Our fire training equipment provides a safe training environment whilst simulating real life fire incidents in varying difficulty.

Theory is presented in a supportive learner centered environment designed to provide functional theoretical knowledge directly applicable to the field.

Suitable For

This course is suitable for those who work as an operator or technician in a field based role within the resources sector. Individuals may have a role in an emergency response crew.

Course Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this training students will receive a Statement of Attainment for: MSMWHS212 - Undertake first response to fire incidents

Payment Options

Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course unless the Payment Plan option is selected. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500. The balance of fees payable will be charged at a point in the course that is proportionate to the amount of the deposit paid, e.g. a 10-day course costing $3,000, the remaining $1,500 will be charged at the end of day 5 (upon completion of 50% of the course).

Course Delivery

The assessment for this course has been designed to assess the individual to the Australian Qualification Framework, relevant Training Package, Australian and Industry expectations, as well as Commonwealth and State Legislation.

In the delivery of this course, our trainers focus on providing an individualised adult learning environment that considers the learner’s employment history and experience in the industry.

Training and assessment is conducted at the Site Skills Training facility 1 Campion Rd, East Arm, NT 0820. Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable infrastructure and industry training facilities.
