Restricted Height Scaffolding is aimed at providing the necessary skills and knowledge to erect mobile, tube and coupler, modular scaffolding to a maximum height of 4 metres.
The course is a mixture of in class theory, practical demonstration and assessment including:
- hazards and risk control;
- pre-use inspections;
- components and use;
- load characteristics;
- safety aspects;
- reporting procedures;
- dismantling and storage;
- and post operation checks.
PLEASE NOTE: A High Risk Work Licence is required when scaffolding is erected above 4 metres as prescribed in the National Standard for Licencing Persons Performing High Risk Work. Please refer to our Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Scaffold courses.
Verification of Competency
Restricted Height Scaffolding Verification of Competencies can be delivered on-site and at our training facility. For more information, please contact the facility, or view our VOC page.
Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500, with the balance to be paid upon commencement of the course.

Restricted Height Scaffolding Training requires a Unique Student Identifier (USI) , you can still complete the training without a USI, though Site Skills Training is unable to provide you with your completion certificate until you provided us with your USI. To apply for a free USI visit the USI website or contact our facility.
Training and assessment is conducted at the Site Skills Training facility 1 Campion Rd, East Arm, NT 0820. Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable infrastructure and industry training facilities.
There are no prerequisites however Site Skills Training recommend a current Construction Card is held by candidates.
There is no recognition of prior learning for Restricted Height Scaffolding.
