CSQ Funding
Site Skills Training is working with CSQ in providing courses that fall under the Construction Skills Queensland initiative to upskill construction workers in Queensland at a reduced price.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must work or had worked in the building and construction industry in the las 6 months.
Must be an Australia or New Zealand citizen; or permanent resident of Australia; or a refugee and humanitarian visa holder.
And, must permanently reside in Queensland; or be permanently in Queensland.

Course Overview
Backhoe Operations covers the conducting backhoe/loader operations in the civil construction industry. It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operating backhoe/ loaders; lifting, carrying and placing materials; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; relocating the backhoe/ loaders; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and cleaning up.

Log Book Requirements
In the absence of any evidence of relevant experience, toward informal training a Log book or other training record showing evidence you have undertaken supervised practical training under the direct supervision of a person holding the relevant licence are required in for high risk licence courses.
Log book hours or other training records are completed by the trainee and a qualified site supervisor to ensure skill gaps nominated by the Site Skills Trainer are closed out and verified before the applicant can be proposed for the Mandated Assessments.
If you are competent at the completion of your course you will complete the assessment and be awarded a Statement of attainment. For further information on the High Risk Licencing Process, please click here
Payment Options
Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course unless the Payment Plan option is selected. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500. The balance of fees payable will be charged at a point in the course that is proportionate to the amount of the deposit paid, e.g. a 10-day course costing $3,000, the remaining $1,500 will be charged at the end of day 5 (upon completion of 50% of the course).

Backhoe Operations Training requires a Unique Student Identifier (USI) , you can still complete the training without a USI, though Site Skills Training is unable to provide you with your completion certificate until you provided us with your USI. Course Delivery
Backhoe Operations training and assessment is conducted on-site at the Site Skills Training South Trees. Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable industry training facilities.
Our Gladstone facility is at 17-19 South Tree Drive, South Trees, QLD and training can be delivered on-site/client premises.
Licensing Regulation
Load shifting (other than Forklift) equipment no longer are required to have a licence however an operator must still be deemed competent. Statement of Attainment received from completing this course is suitable.
