Vehicle Loading Crane (CV) specifies the outcomes required to operate a vehicle loading crane with a capacity of 10 metre tonnes or more, mounted on a vehicle for the principle purpose of loading and unloading such a vehicle, including the application of load estimation and slinging techniques to move a load, for licensing purposes.

Log Book Requirements
In the absence of any evidence of relevant experience, toward informal training a Log book or other training record showing evidence you have undertaken supervised practical training under the direct supervision of a person holding the relevant licence are required in for high risk licence courses.
Log book hours or other training records are completed by the trainee and a qualified site supervisor to ensure skill gaps nominated by the Site Skills Trainer are closed out and verified before the applicant can be proposed for the Mandated Assessments.

Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course unless the Payment Plan option is selected. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500. The balance of fees payable will be charged at a point in the course that is proportionate to the amount of the deposit paid, e.g. a 10-day course costing $3,000, the remaining $1,500 will be charged at the end of day 5 (upon completion of 50% of the course).

Vehicle Loading Crane (CV) requires a Unique Student Identifier (USI) , you can still complete the training without a USI, though Site Skills Training is unable to provide you with your completion certificate until you provided us with your USI. Vehicle Loading Crane is best suited for those who wish to work with or operate Vehicle Loading Cranes in the civil, construction, infrastructure or resources industries.
Training and assessment is conducted on-site at the Site Skills Training South Trees. Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable industry training facilities.
Our Gladstone facility is at 17-19 South Tree Drive, South Trees, QLD and training can be delivered on-site/client premises.
There are no prerequisites to Vehicle Loading Crane if the operator is not driving the CV crane truck, however a participant will not be able to apply for the HRW Licence until they are 18 years old. If the operator is driving the CV truck as well as operating it, she/he is required to hold a the appropriate truck licence for the size truck i.e. MR (medium Rigid), HR (Heavy Rigid) licence. Participants will require at least a basic level of numeracy as the course involves calculations.
Applicants are only eligible to apply for a Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) Licence, once they are 18 years of age, have completed the final assessment.

There is no recognition of prior learning for Vehicle Loading Crane.
