Heat and UV Awareness Training provides candidates with necessary skills and knowledge to help control and minimise the damaging effects of Heat and UV Exposure from the harsh Australian Sun.
Candidates will be provided with knowledge on the hazards and life threatening effects Heat and UV exposure have on our body. The power of the sun is often underestimated and the body’s ability to handle its effects is often overestimated. You and your employer have a duty of care to know the potential hazards and how to manage them.
Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course unless the Payment Plan option is selected. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500. The balance of fees payable will be charged at a point in the course that is proportionate to the amount of the deposit paid, e.g. a 10-day course costing $3,000, the remaining $1,500 will be charged at the end of day 5 (upon completion of 50% of the course).

Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded with a Certificate of Completion. This is in PDF format and can be saved and printed.
Heat and UV Awareness is not nationally recognised, but it provides a solid understanding of the effects of excessive exposure to the sun and how to mitigate any risk factors and hazards involved.
- Identify health hazards of working in the heat
- Knowledge of risks and consequences involved with prolonged exposure to UV radiation
- Identify and mitigate other risk factors when working in the heat
- First Aid with regard to heat and UV exposure
