Course Overview

High Risk Work is defined by Work Health and Safety Regulations as work that requires a High Risk Work Licence because of the inherent risks when carrying it out. It is important that you are aware of the risks and hazards in the work place, and how these can be mitigated or minimised.

This awareness course will give participants an understanding of the risks involved when in high risk work and how to manage them. This course is not suitable for persons requiring an accredited training outcome.

This module aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of what it entails to get your High Risk Work Licence, and why it is needed in the first place.

Payment Options

Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course unless the Payment Plan option is selected. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500. The balance of fees payable will be charged at a point in the course that is proportionate to the amount of the deposit paid, e.g. a 10-day course costing $3,000, the remaining $1,500 will be charged at the end of day 5 (upon completion of 50% of the course).

Course Outcomes

Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded with a Certificate of Completion. This is in PDF format and can be saved and printed.

This course is not nationally recognised, but it provides a basic understanding of the legislative requirements and practical reasoning behind the High Risk Work Licence.

Suitable For

This course is suited for all building professionals, especially those who will be involved with high-risk work (including work involving scaffolding; dogging and rigging; forklift, crane or hoist operation; working in an elevating work platform; and using pressure equipment). Online high risk work awareness does not provide the required outcomes for an application for licenses, or work-based requirements of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 in any state or territory in Australia.

What is Tempus?

Tempus is Site Skills Training Learning Management System (LMS), designed to deliver and manage your courses online.

How do I enrol?

You may proceed to our online enrollment form page http://www.siteskillstraining.com.au/enrol In that page please select the course you would like to enroll in and fill-in all required information in the form. Once you have submitted the application and paid for the course successfully, you will receive email confirmation about your registration, payment and login details (username and password). You may use these login credentials immediately to access the enrolled course.

How does Online Learning work?

In online learning, course materials are presented and delivered from the internet and are accessible via computer, tablet or handheld devices. Upon successful application to the course you will receive a username and a password in your email address which will be used to log in to our Learning Management System (Tempus). Courses are presented in various multimedia formats (Audio, video and graphical slides) to enhance your learning experience. It will also include quizzes that need to be passed for you to complete the course. Once the course has been completed you will then be able to download your certificate.

How long do I have to complete the course?

After Enrolling you will be able to access the course for one month. It’s best that you get stuck into the course as soon as possible.

What happens if I don’t complete the course before expiry?

If you don’t complete the course in one month you will need to purchase the course again.

Which devices can I use to access online courses?

These courses are able to work with any web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc.) and on any device (PC, laptop, tablet, phone). It is advisable to have an ADSL connection speed. For cellular phones, 3G is the minimum connection speed, and 4G is for optimum use. If the course still doesn’t work, contact our technical support.

Do I have to complete the course all at once?

No, if you have to leave during the course, you are able to log back in. You will be placed straight back to where you left the program.

What if I forget my Password?

If you forget your password, click the “Forgot Username | Password” button on the login page. You will be given the choice to submit your username or email address.

The system will then send you an email giving you the option to reset your password.
