Tower Crane specifies the outcomes required to operate a tower crane for licensing purposes, and covers a jib or boom/job crane mounted on a tower structure, demountable or permanent, including both horizontal and luffing jib types. This unit does not cover self-erecting tower cranes.

Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500, with the balance to be paid upon commencement of the course.

Tower Crane Training (CT) requires a Unique Student Identifier (USI) , you can still complete the training without a USI, though Site Skills Training is unable to provide you with your completion certificate until you provided us with your USI. This course is suitable for anyone wishing to work on or operate a Tower Crane in any construction or resources industry.
There are no prerequisites to this course however it is recommended that a person has rigging experience and/or rigging qualifications (at least intermediate level) prior to undertaking this course
Applicants will only be eligible to apply for a Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) (QLD Students only), Worksafe WA (WA Students only), or Work Safe NT (NT Students only) Licence, once they have completed the final assessment and been deemed competent. You need to be at least 18 years of age before you can be issued with a High Risk Work Licence from the state regulatory body.

This course is design for any person wanting to be a Tower Crane operator in the civil, resources and mining industries. A "Tower Crane Operator” means a person who operates a tower crane (including luffing jib and articulated jib tower cranes) to perform lifts and hoist loads, and have experience with rigging practices and procedures
This unit can be accredited towards the nationally recognised qualification CPC40611 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Specialist Trades)
