Hydraulics Awareness is designed to give participants working in and around hydraulically operated plant and equipment, an awareness of the key hydraulics systems and components. Hydraulics Awareness is applicable to all working environments and all levels in the maintenance and operation chain.
Hydraulics Awareness content includes:
- Hydraulic safety principles
- Hydraulic principles; physics and basic calculations
- Components - type; use and symbols
- Systems - common types; circuit diagrams
- Basic fault finding
Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course unless the Payment Plan option is selected. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500. The balance of fees payable will be charged at a point in the course that is proportionate to the amount of the deposit paid, e.g. a 10-day course costing $3,000, the remaining $1,500 will be charged at the end of day 5 (upon completion of 50% of the course).

Hydraulics Awareness Training requires a Unique Student Identifier (USI) , you can still complete the training without a USI, though Site Skills Training is unable to provide you with your completion certificate until you provided us with your USI. Any person who works in or around hydraulic equipment including purchasing officers, supervisors, managers and maintenance personnel.
Hydraulics Awareness training and assessment is conducted at the Site Skills Training facility 72-80 Belgravia St, Belmont, Perth 6104. Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable infrastructure and industry training facilities.
There are no prerequisites for Hydraulics Awareness.
There is no recognition of prior learning for this unit.
Any workplace where hydraulic equipment is used.
By undertaking Hydraulics Awareness you will be eligible to complete the remaining 3 days of the nationally recognised Basic Hydraulics I course at an additional cost of $690.
