Note a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) fee applies to the above course. A $95 fee applies to participants who do not hold a current WA issued HRWL. A $74.55 fee applies to participants who already hold a current WA issued HRWL in order to add a new licence class to the existing HRWL. Fees are directly payable to Worksafe WA.

Course Overview

This training package includes both CPCCLRG3002A Licence to perform rigging intermediate level and CPCCLRG4001A Licence to perform rigging advanced level. Intermediate Rigging Training will be delivered as the first course as it is a prerequisite to Advanced Rigging Training. Courses may not run consecutively.

Rigging Intermediate Training

This unit specifies the outcomes required to perform rigging work at the intermediate level, which includes all the outcomes for rigging work at the basic level, and also includes rigging of cranes, rigging of conveyors, rigging of dredges and excavators, rigging associated with tilt slabs, rigging associated with demolition work, and dual lifts for licensing purposes.

Rigging Advanced Training

This course specifies the outcomes required to perform rigging work at the advanced level and includes the rigging of gin poles, shear legs, flying fox and cable ways, guyed derricks and structures and suspended scaffolds and fabricated hung scaffolds for licensing purposes.

Payment Options

Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course unless the Payment Plan option is selected. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500, with the balance to be paid upon commencement of the course.

Suitable For

Intermediate and Advanced Rigging Training is recommended for those who have previously completed the basic rigger course and would like the opportunity to work with steel structures or equipment on active worksites; whether from a Sentry or Stand-by position.

Course Delivery

Training and assessment is conducted on-site at the Site Skills Training 72-80 Belgravia St, Belmont, Perth 6104. Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable infrastructure and industry training facilities.

Prerequisite Information

Intermediate Rigging Training

Candidates must hold an valid Australian Dogging & Rigging Basic High Risk Licence or a Rigging Basic Notice of Assessment.

Advanced Rigging Training

Candidates must hold a valid Australian Dogging, Rigging Basic & Rigging Intermediate High Risk Licence or a Rigging Intermediate Notice of Assessment.

Licensing Regulation

A photographic licence is issued to people who are assessed as being competent to hold the High Risk Work licence (HRW licence), subject to identification checks and verifications of age. You must be at least 18 years of age before you can be issued with an HRW licence from Worksafe WA.

RPL

There is no recognition of prior learning for this unit.

Work Opportunities

Intermediate Rigging Training

Persons who complete this course will have the opportunity to work on a job site as an intermediate rigger which includes the tasks of:

  • movement of plant and equipment;
  • steel erection;
  • all hoists;
  • placement of pre -cast concrete;
  • safety nets and static lines;
  • mast climbers;
  • perimeter safety screens and shutters;
  • cantilevered crane loading platforms;
  • rigging of cranes, conveyors, dredges and excavators;
  • tilt-slabs;
  • demolition and dual lifts

Advanced Rigging Training

Persons who complete this course will have the opportunity to work on a job site as an advanced rigger who can perform duties of a dogger, basic and intermediate rigger which includes the tasks of:

  • rigging of gin poles and shear legs;
  • flying foxes and cableways;
  • guyed derricks and structures
  • suspended scaffolds and fabricated hung scaffolds
