Tower Crane (CT) specifies the outcomes required to operate a tower crane for licensing purposes, and covers a jib or boom/job crane mounted on a tower structure, demountable or permanent, including both horizontal and luffing jib types. This unit does not cover self-erecting tower cranes.
Log Book Requirements
In the absence of any evidence of relevant experience, toward informal training a Log book or other training record showing evidence you have undertaken supervised practical training under the direct supervision of a person holding the relevant licence are required in for high risk licence courses.
Log book hours or other training records are completed by the trainee and a qualified site supervisor to ensure skill gaps nominated by the Site Skills Trainer are closed out and verified before the applicant can be proposed for the Mandated Assessments.

Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course unless the Payment Plan option is selected. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500. The balance of fees payable will be charged at a point in the course that is proportionate to the amount of the deposit paid, e.g. a 10-day course costing $3,000, the remaining $1,500 will be charged at the end of day 5 (upon completion of 50% of the course).

Tower Crane Training (CT) is conducted on-site at the Site Skills Training 72-80 Belgravia St, Belmont, Perth 6104. Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable industry training facilities.
There are no prerequisites to this course however it is recommended that a person has rigging experience and/or rigging qualifications (at least intermediate level) prior to undertaking this course
A photographic licence is issued to people who are assessed as being competent to hold the High Risk Work licence (HRW licence), subject to identification checks and verifications of age. You must be at least 18 years of age before you can be issued with an HRW licence from Worksafe WA
There is no recognition of prior learning for this unit

This course is designed for any person wanting to be a Tower Crane operator in the civil, resources and mining industries. A "Tower Crane Operator” means a person who operates a tower crane (including luffing jib and articulated jib tower cranes) to perform lifts and hoist loads, and have experience with rigging practices and procedures
