The Advanced Rigging Gladstone course specifies the outcomes required to perform rigging work at the advanced level.
This course includes the rigging of:
- gin poles
- shear legs
- flying foxes and cable ways
- guyed derricks and structures
- suspended scaffolds and fabricated hung scaffolds for licensing purposes

Log Book Requirements
In the absence of any evidence of relevant experience, toward informal training a Log book or other training record showing evidence you have undertaken supervised practical training under the direct supervision of a person holding the relevant licence are required in for high risk licence courses.
Log book hours or other training records are completed by the trainee and a qualified site supervisor to ensure skill gaps nominated by the Site Skills Trainer are closed out and verified before the applicant can be proposed for the Mandated Assessments.

Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course unless the Payment Plan option is selected. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500. The balance of fees payable will be charged at a point in the course that is proportionate to the amount of the deposit paid, e.g. a 10-day course costing $3,000, the remaining $1,500 will be charged at the end of day 5 (upon completion of 50% of the course).

Advanced Rigging Training requires a Unique Student Identifier (USI) , you can still complete the training without a USI, though Site Skills Training is unable to provide you with your completion certificate until you provided us with your USI. To apply for a free USI visit the USI website or contact our facility.
Advanced Rigging is recommended for those who have previously completed both the basic and intermediate rigging courses and intend to work in direct correlation with steel structures and equipment within active worksites; in either Sentry or Stand-by positions.
Advanced Rigging training and assessment is conducted on-site at Site Skills Training Rockhampton. Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable industry training facilities.
Our Rockhampton facility is at 16 Saleyards Road Gracemere , Rockhampton 4702 and training can be delivered on-site/client premises.
Applicants are only eligible to apply for a Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) Licence, once they are 18 years of age, have completed the final assessment.
When applying for a High Risk Work Licence from Work Health and Safety Queensland, applicants must comply with the Work Health and Safety Queensland Evidence of Identity criteria. For further information regarding the Evidence of Identity criteria please click here.
