This training package includes both RIIMPO320E Conduct Civil Construction Excavator Operations and RIIMPO318E Conduct Civil Construction Skid Steer Loader Operations. Courses may not run consecutively.
This unit covers the conduct excavator operations in the civil construction industry. It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operation of an excavator including loading, bulk excavation, backfilling, trench excavation, stockpiling, battering and benching ; lifting, carrying and placing materials; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; relocating the machine; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and cleaning up.
Skid Steer Training
Skid Steer (Bobcat) Operations covers conducting skid steer loader operations in the civil construction industry. It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operation of skid steer loader including stripping/ spreading topsoil and materials, lifting, loading vehicles, excavations, mixing materials ; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; relocating the skid steer loaders; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and cleaning up.
These Load Shifting courses are scheduled on a weekly basis.

Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course unless the Payment Plan option is selected. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500. The balance of fees payable will be charged at a point in the course that is proportionate to the amount of the deposit paid, e.g. a 10-day course costing $3,000, the remaining $1,500 will be charged at the end of day 5 (upon completion of 50% of the course).

Front End Loader Operations Training and Skid Steer (Bobcat) Operations Training requires a Unique Student Identifier (USI) , you can still complete the training without a USI, though Site Skills Training is unable to provide you with your completion certificate until you provided us with your USI. Excavator Operations is suitable for those who wish to operate a excavator within the Resources, Construction and Infrastructure industries.
Skid Steer Training
Skid Steer (Bobcat) Operations is suitable for those who would like the opportunity to operate a skid steer within the Resources, Construction and Infrastructure industries.
Front End Loader Operations training and assessment is conducted on-site at the Site Skills Training Landsborough. Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable industry training facilities.
Our Sunshine Coast facility is at 219 Forestry Road, Landsborough QLD and training can be delivered on-site/client premises.
Load shifting (other than Forklift) equipment no longer are required to have a licence however an operator must still be deemed competent. Statement of Attainment received from completing this course is suitable.
RPL may be available for candidates with previous industry experience.

These competencies form part of the qualification RII30815 Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operation.
