Apply First Aid (also known as senior First Aid or Workplace first Aid level 2) is delivered face to face in a combination of practical and theoretical activities, exercises and assessments.
It provides the participants with the skills and knowledge to confidently manage emergency situations, providing care for the ill or injured until medical aid arrives. The course includes CPR.
It is suitable to both people in workplaces and members of the public who want training in first aid. All components of the course are written to the ARC guidelines.
Pre-work is required prior to attending the face-to-face component of First Aid. You will be required to successfully complete the online material and corresponding online quizzes, then show staff members when arriving your certificate of completion, which can be downloaded and printed or saved to a mobile device.
The general public, teachers and early childhood educators, nurses, contractors.
Upon successful completion of this unit a Statement of Attainment will be issued.
Common Industry Competencies (CIC) Standard
This course is also delivered as a part of the CIC Standard package.
The Queensland Natural Gas E&P Industry has recently implemented the Common Industry Competencies (CIC) standard as a requirement for personnel working in the industry. This standard will enhance the safety competency of all personnel in the industry whilst driving consistency and cost efficiency.
The CIC Standard course includes the below units of competency:
Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500, with the balance to be paid upon commencement of the course.

This First Aid Training and Assessment requires a component of online completion prior to attending the face-to-face component. You will be required to successfully complete the online modules and quizzes before arriving at the Site Skills Training facility for the 1 day course. Successful completion of the online components will need to be shown to Site Skills Training staff at the facility, either by printing the certificate of completion or displaying the certificate on a mobile device.
Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable industry training facilities.
Apply First Aid is to be conducted in 1 day. Trainees of the full course will receive a First Aid Manual to keep.

First Aid Training requires a Unique Student Identifier (USI) , you can still complete the training without a USI, though Site Skills Training is unable to provide you with your completion certificate until you provided us with your USI. To apply for a free USI visit the USI website or contact our facility.
The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends that refresher training is done every 3 years for the HLTAID003 Provide first aid and every 12 months for the HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
There is no recognition of prior learning for Apply First Aid.
