High Voltage Awareness training (ID 2066) provides essential knowledge for electrical and non-electrical workers who are required to work on and/or around High Voltage equipment. The course covers, hazards associated with HV, PPE required for working near HV Electrical Equipment, Lock out, tagging and isolation procedures, and first response to a HV incident.
Upon completion students should be able to undertake the following tasks:
- Comply with PPE requirements when working near HV electrical equipment.
- Identify hazards associated with working near or on HV apparatus and apply hazard control measures.
- Comply with lockout, tagging and isolation requirements in accordance with permit procedures.
- Carry out first response in an HV incident.
Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500, with the balance to be paid upon commencement of the course.

High Voltage Awareness is suitable for persons working in construction or operational roles that require an understanding of the hazards and risks associated with High Voltage electrical equipment.
HV Awareness training and assessment is conducted at the Site Skills Training facility 219 Forestry Road, Landsborough QLD 4550. Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients.
Licensing regulations are not applicable.
