This unit specifies the outcomes required to perform rigging work at the intermediate level, which includes all the outcomes for rigging work at the basic level, and also includes rigging of cranes, rigging of conveyors, rigging of dredges and excavators, rigging associated with tilt slabs, rigging associated with demolition work, and dual lifts for licensing purposes.

Log Book Requirements
In the absence of any evidence of relevant experience, toward informal training a Log book or other training record showing evidence you have undertaken supervised practical training under the direct supervision of a person holding the relevant licence are required in for high risk licence courses.
Log book hours or other training records are completed by the trainee and a qualified site supervisor to ensure skill gaps nominated by the Site Skills Trainer are closed out and verified before the applicant can be proposed for the Mandated Assessments.

Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course unless the Payment Plan option is selected. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500. The balance of fees payable will be charged at a point in the course that is proportionate to the amount of the deposit paid, e.g. a 10-day course costing $3,000, the remaining $1,500 will be charged at the end of day 5 (upon completion of 50% of the course).

Intermediate Rigging Training requires a Unique Student Identifier (USI) , you can still complete the training without a USI, though Site Skills Training is unable to provide you with your completion certificate until you provided us with your USI. To apply for a free USI visit the USI website or contact our facility.
Intermediate Rigging is recommended for those who have previously completed the basic rigger course and intend to work with steel structures or equipment on active worksites; whether from a Sentry or Stand-by position.
Intermediate Rigging training and assessment is conducted on-site at the Site Skills Training Landsborough. Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable industry training facilities.
Our Sunshine Coast facility is at 219 Forestry Road, Landsborough QLD and training can be delivered on-site/client premises.
Participants are required to complete both Licence to Perform Dogging and Licence to Perform Rigging Basic Level - (RB) Licence before undertaking this course.
Applicants are only eligible to apply for a Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) Licence, once they are 18 years of age, have completed the final assessment.
When applying for a High Risk Work Licence from Work Health and Safety Queensland, applicants must comply with the Work Health and Safety Queensland Evidence of Identity criteria. For further information regarding the Evidence of Identity criteria please click here.

CPCCLRG3002A Licence to perform rigging intermediate level
Persons who complete this course will be able to work on a jobsite as an intermediate rigger which includes the tasks of:
- movement of plant and equipment;
- steel erection;
- all hoists;
- placement of pre -cast concrete;
- safety nets and static lines;
- mast climbers;
- perimeter safety screens and shutters;
- cantilevered crane loading platforms;
- rigging of cranes, conveyors, dredges and excavators;
- demolition and dual lifts
Intermediate Rigging is a prerequisite to enrolment in Advanced Rigging. CPCCLRG3002A Licence to perform rigging intermediate level can be credited towards the nationally recognised qualification CPC30711 Certificate III in Rigging.
