Management of Major Emergencies (MOME) training is designed to introduce offshore operators to the philosophy and underpinning knowledge behind Major Emergency Management on an offshore facility. The course is delivered with five participants, each undertaking unique roles to simulate a Major Emergencies situation. These roles and responsibilities can include Installation Manager, Deputy Commander, Control Room Panel/ Radio Operator, Key Events Coordinator and Muster & Logistics Coordinator. Depending on client requirements, additional students can be added over a longer delivery period, or certain roles can be backfilled to support an actual simulated Major Emergencies situation.
MOME training can be contextualised to a client's specific project. This is achieved by incorporating into the MOME-suite the exact procedures, controls and environments for a project, including layout, which would be experienced during an emergency at that project. If preferred, the course can also be delivered via a generic emergency environment.
The intent is to train personnel through theory, simulation and practical demonstration in the techniques of Major Emergency Management, review and test company procedures related to Emergency Response, identify any areas of deficiency in emergency response (site specific) and to increase awareness of Asset Loss Prevention.
Full payment for courses up to $1,500 must be made before the commencement of the course unless the Payment Plan option is selected. For courses that cost over $1,500, Site Skills Training will hold an initial deposit of $1,500. The balance of fees payable will be charged at a point in the course that is proportionate to the amount of the deposit paid, e.g. a 10-day course costing $3,000, the remaining $1,500 will be charged at the end of day 5 (upon completion of 50% of the course).

Management of Major Emergencies (MOME) training and assessment is conducted at our Sunshine Coast facility is at 219 Forestry Road, Landsborough QLD. Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable infrastructure and industry training facilities.
