Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) Funding.

CSQ is an independent industry-funded body supporting employers, workers, apprentices and career seekers in the building and construction industry. CSQ funds a range of training programs to reduce the cost for trainees or employers. CSQ provides funding through Registered Training Organisations like Site Skills Training for training and skills development within the construction industry.

Site Skills Training offers CSQ funded training for a range of; Short Courses, Higher Level Skills Qualifications, Skills Assesment & Gap Training.

 

Funding Eligibility:

  • Applicants must work or had worked in the building and construction industry in the last 6 months.
  • Must be an Australia or New Zealand citizen; or pernament resident of Australia; or a refugee and humanitarian visa holder.
  • And, must permanently reside in Queensland; or be permanently in Queensland.

Funding Information: CSQ Funding is a contribution toward the cost of receiving training and assessment services. Funding is not provided for the purposes of covering the cost of a participant applying for a license from a regulatory authority where required.

CSQ provides funding to RTO's in the form of a contribution per nominal hour against each eligible short course listed and completed. Participants are eligible for a maximum of three (3) short courses in the same program period for the Civil Construction Short Courses and a maximum of eight (8) for General Construction Short Courses.

2017-2018 CSQ Funded Higher Level Skills Qualifications.

Eligibility: 

  • Currently employed in the building and construction industry for a month or longer. Or career seeker with significant previous experience 
  • Australian/New Zealand permanent resident, refugee or humanitarian visa holder 
  • Permanently resides in Queensland 
  • Can provide evidence of employment or can provided evidence of unemployment for less than 6 months 
  • Not a government employee (General Construction Only)
  • Not participating in a Queensland secondary school program
  • Not an Apprentice or Trainee
  • Not a contracted Trainer or Assessor for an RTO
  • Have not received funding under CSQ since October 1st 2017
  • Have not received funding for the same training before

Civil Construction: 

  • RII40715 Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision

General Construction:

  • BSB41415 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety 
  • BSB51315 Diploma in Work Health and Safety 
  • BSB51415 Diploma of Project Management 
  • CPC40110 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) 
  • UEE42611Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas - Electrical 

 

2017-2018 CSQ Funded Skills Assesment and Gap Training.

Eligibility: 

  • Currently employed in the building and construction industry for a month or longer. Or career seeker with significant previous experience 
  • Australian/New Zealand permanent resident, refugee or humanitarian visa holder 
  • Permanently resides in Queensland 
  • Can provide evidence of employment 
  • Not a government employee (General Construction Only)
  • Not participating in a Queensland secondary school program
  • Not an Apprentice or Trainee
  • Not a contracted Trainer or Assessor for an RTO
  • Have not received funding under CSQ since October 1st 2017
  • Have not received funding for the same training before
  • You will be required to demonstrate that you have a minimum of 3 years of recent industry experience and can achieve a minimum of 80% Recognition of Prior Learning
