ABOUT THE COURSE
High Voltage Awareness training (ID 2066) provides essential knowledge for electrical and non-electrical workers who are required to work on and/or around High Voltage equipment. The course covers, hazards associated with HV, PPE required for working near HV Electrical Equipment, Lock out, tagging and isolation procedures, and first response to a HV incident.
Upon completion students should be able to undertake the following tasks:
- Comply with PPE requirements when working near HV electrical equipment.
- Identify hazards associated with working near or on HV apparatus and apply hazard control measures.
- Comply with lockout, tagging and isolation requirements in accordance with permit procedures.
- Carry out first response in an HV incident.
Important Notice:
The Sunshine Coast Facility is moving to a new site less than 20 min south of Caboolture.
The new facility is bigger, better and right by the M1.
