ABOUT THE COURSE
Demonstrate First Attack Firefighting equipment gives candidates the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and confidently use portable fire extinguishers; fire hose reels and fire blankets to extinguish a small fire. The course applies to any workplace and covers the following:
- Operational safety and risk management
- Emergency response including; rescue, active alarm, confine fire, evacuate and extinguish (race)
- Fire types and classifications
- Fire theory
- Fire extinguisher types and their use
- WHS and workplace policies and procedures (relevant)
- Hose reels and fire blankets
- Inspections and testing
