ABOUT THE COURSE
The Common Industry Competencies - CIC Training Package contains 6 units of competency below and is designed for workers in the Queensland Natural Gas E&P Industry that need to fulfill their CIC requirements.
Safer Together and the Queensland Natural Gas E&P Industry has recently implemented the Common Industry Competencies (CIC Training) Standard. This standard will enhance the safety competency of all personnel in the industry whilst driving consistency and cost efficiency to recognise standards of competency for industry workers.
Save $107.00 on the total cost of individual units when booking into the CIC Training Package. Starting 1 July, 2017, the CIC Standard Requirements will apply to all workers in the Queensland Natural Gas E&P Industry.
Confined Space Training aims to give participants the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and competently enter and work in confined spaces. Training and assessment is compliant with AS2865.
Gas Test Atmospheres
Employing the correct detection and monitoring techniques of potentially hazardous gases is a crucial aspect of entering and working in confined spaces or other applicable environments. This course aims to give participants the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake testing and sampling of hazardous environments.
Operate Breathing Apparatus
This program aims to provide candidates with the necessary skills to safely wear Breathing Apparatus in a hazardous or toxic environment.
CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course looks at the application of compressions and rescue breathing when a person is unresponsive and breathing abnormally. This course covers CPR to sustain brain function and life until medical support arrives. This course follows ARC guidelines.
This provides the participants with the skills and knowledge to confidently manage emergency situations, providing care for the ill or injured until medical aid arrives. It is suitable to both people in workplaces and members of the public who want training in first aid. All components of the course are written to the ARC guidelines.
Work at Heights
This training is aimed at providing candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake work at heights safely and competently, covering selection, inspection and safe use of equipment, risk management, and requirements of relevant Australian Standards, company procedures and legislation.
These courses may not run consecutively
The Sunshine Coast Facility is moving to a new site less than 20 min south of Caboolture.
The new facility is bigger, better and right by the M1.
