Site Skills Training hosts International Trade Investment Queensland Delegation

Published On : 21 Sep 2018

On Tuesday the 12th of May, 2015, Site Skills Training was delighted to host an International Trade and Investment Queensland delegation representing an array of Asia Pacific and South American countries and industries.

The delegates were here on a Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) International Education and Training Familiarisation Tour. TIQ identified Site's training services as being highly relevant to the attendees, allowing Site to discuss how capabilities can be utilised to meet future project requirements.

The delegation comprised senior representatives of educational, government and industry skills organisations from Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Taiwan, China, India, Peru and Colombia.

Many of the representatives in attendance have expressed their interest in partnering with Queensland education and training providers in mining, oil and gas related training within the region and for the utilisation of expertise in establishing training programs within their own countries.

Site Skills Training took the opportunity to present information on the recent construction of an Underground and Open Cut Mine Training Centre in the Philippines, as well as our capacity in the oil and gas space for creation of oil and gas process plants for training purposes. These services combined with competence framework development shows the highly adaptable nature of our offering, suitable for a range of energy, mining, construction and industrial projects under development throughout developing and established economies.
