ABOUT THE COURSE
UEE42611 Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas - Electrical provides competencies to supervise selection, installation, commissioning maintenance and testing of explosion-protected equipment and systems for control and monitoring of plant and processes.
The qualification also provides competencies in working with explosion protections techniques with elections in how they apply to coal mining, gas and dust atmospheres. It includes ERAC requirements for an ‘Electrician’s licence’ and competencies to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain standalone renewable energy equipment and systems.
This qualification is made up of 23 core units and a range of elective units of competency. In order to complete and be issued the qualification, you will need to:
- Provide Site Skills Training with a copy of the UEE30811 - Certificate III in Electrotechnology qualification, or equivalent trade qualification. Credit Transfers will be granted for 18 of the core units from this qualification.
- Successfully complete 4 of the core units from the UEE42611 - Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas – Electrical qualification
Successfully complete a 5-day Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) course covering 17 units of competency or provide a Statement of Attainment demonstrating the 17 units of competency have previously been completed.
The Sunshine Coast Facility is moving to a new site less than 20 min south of Caboolture.
The new facility is bigger, better and right by the M1.
