On September 10, Site Skills Training (SST) Gladstone joined over 250 other construction sites to fly a flag commemorating World Suicide Prevention Day and to show support for MATES in Construction.

Site Skills Training (SST) Gladstone has been working with MATES in Construction for the last three months; raising awareness about suicide prevention and increasing mental health and wellbeing within the local community and the Australian Construction industry as a whole.

Fly the Flag Day was an opportunity for SST to celebrate the efforts of MATES in Construction, and for all they have done for our mates in the industry.

"The construction industry has far too many suicides, but it is a fact this industry is in the process of changing.  Suicide is preventable and that is what we intend to do…If this campaign saves one life it's worth it!" MATES in Construction.
