ABOUT THE COURSE
This is not yet another session about the Baker report, the Cullen report, Montara or Macondo (Deepwater Horizon). Nor does this course confuse slips, trips and falls with process safety. Inherent safety, safety integrity levels, HAZOP, bow ties, LOPA, and quantitative risk assessment will all be covered but not in conventional fashion; everybody needs to understand process safety not just engineers.
The conclusions from major incident reports are often the same, we fail to manage process safety proactively, so if we know the answer why do major incidents continue to occur? The answer is simple; you can’t be proactive if your culture is reactive. This course bridges the gap between theory and practice, focussing on the outcomes we all desire and deserve.
