ABOUT THE COURSE
This training packagedelivered at North Brisbane includes both PMBWELD301 Butt weld polyethylene plastic pipelines and PMBWELD302 Electrofusion weld polyethylene pipelines. Courses may not run consecutively.
PMBWELD301 - Poly Welding (Butt Welding) Training
Poly Welding (Butt Welding) provides participants with the necessary skills and knowledge required to carry out polyethylene welding, also known as poly welding, using butt welding equipment.
- Identifying materials being used in the installation as compatible for welding using butt welding methods
- Calculating appropriate welding parameters to be used
- Maintaining and calibrating welding equipment
- Performing welding
- Assessing quality of welded joints made
PMBWELD302 – Poly Welding (Electrofusion Welding) Training
Poly Welding (Electrofusion Welding) provides participants with the necessary skills and knowledge required to carry out polyethylene welding, also known as poly welding, using electrofusion welding equipment.
- Identifying materials being used in the installation as compatible for welding using electrofusion welding methods
- Calculating appropriate welding parameters to be used
- Maintaining and calibrating welding equipment
- Performing welding
- Assessing quality of welded joints made
